Review on Peplink Surf SOHO MK3 Router: Entry-Level Home Router with Cloud-Based Management (InControl), SUS-SOHO-T by Brad Ward

EXCELLENT, CAPABLE EMERGENCY ROUTER!

I bought this to replace an ASUS RT-AC88U router that never worked properly and ended up losing internet connection several times a day. This router seemed too good to be true. It promised to connect to ISPs using a cellular hotspot, a USB, or an Ethernet cable. He also promised "failover" for the next connection if the connection to the parent ISP stopped working. It really seemed "too good to be true" for a $200 product. Well it works! Some components. I have a 20Mbps broadband connection, a Hughesnet satellite connection as backup #1, and a cellular hotspot as backup #2. However, Peplink only has an RJ45 WAN port, so at first I thought I had me wrong and only one WAN/Ethernet connection would be allowed; Luckily the USB connector works fine with the ETHERNET to USB cable so I can use this connector for Hughesnet satellite service AND it works great when it fails! You need to buy a USB modem and use this precious port. And it also has 802.11 AP 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless radios! This kid knows everything. The interface is easy to use and has nothing mysterious about it. Just make a habit of saving your settings as you go. I didn't have a stronger router. This is to buy IMHO!
