Review on πŸ“€ Sony DAVS300 DVD Home Theater Mini System (No Longer Manufactured) by Charles Collier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best.

Just want you to know that the DAV-S300 is a great bargain. I've had it for 3-4 months now and I love it. The sound is amazing, although the total power can be 120 watts, that's more than enough, believe me. If you don't trust me, hear for yourself and go to your local electronics store. You get the features of Pro Logic, Dolby Surround Sound, and DTS modes. On top of that, you get all sorts of listening modes like Hall, Jazz Club, Live House, and more. Installing the speakers is very easy as the cables are color coded for each speaker. Did I mention you also have an AM/FM tuner, which can be set to 30 channels? Visually it is amazing. You have a choice: Use standard RCA or S-Video cables. The device can play DVD, CD and Video CD. S-Video does an amazing job of improving the look and feel of DVDs. You have to get a decent TV to do the DVD justice though. WEGA and this block would be a great combination. The block design is also aesthetic. I have to say this is one of the coolest DVD players out there. It just looks cool with silver cases and all. Everything, speakers, block, subwoofer - everything is in this color. In addition, the device is so small and compact. The device is the same size as a VCR. The length of the device is the same as that of a VCR, but the height is shorter. As I mentioned before, this device pairs very well with Sony WEGA TVs. The only thing that confuses me is that Sony didn't add component video outputs. But who can tell the difference if you don't compare S-Video and component video side-by-side? Overall I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. A strong recommendation is for people who are buying their first audio/video system or are buying one for a bedroom or small space. I don't know how Sony was able to pack all of these stellar features into such a small box, but whatever they did, they definitely did an amazing job. Thank you Sony But whatever they did, they definitely did an amazing job. Thank you Sony But whatever they did they definitely did an amazing job.
