Look under the sink and make sure you're buying the correct hose. This has a smooth piece of metal that slides and snaps into a white plastic collet. Attached is a photo of the installed hose. Everyone claims they have trouble talking about how hard you have to squeeze the hose and then pull it out. You don't have to. The white plastic sleeve is oval and you can feel the two sides of the plastic sticking out further down the sides of the tube. Just take your index finger and thumb and press on those sides and pull the hose out. It slides right out. It literally took me longer to unscrew the faucet head than it took to pull out the collet. The whole process, including turning off the water under the sink, took 2 minutes.
