Bought a new model (left side) to replace an old remote control (same model on the right) that no longer works. Previously I tried resetting the (old) controller and used all the methods outlined in the book to get it working with my TV (model U550CV-UMR8UHTV58FE). This controller model is said to be compatible with the U550CV-UMR models. fresh batteries plugged in expecting the tv to work as advertised. And nothing. The remote control is completely unusable for me.
