Review on 🔌 Dorman 741-679 Rear Driver Side Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly for Ford / Mercury Models: Enhanced Efficiency and Convenience by Anthony Hales

Dorman has impressed me again. The first product I bought from them was a replacement tailgate handle for a 1998-2003 Toyota Sienna and this prompted me to check out their website to see if they had a solution to one of the most common problems with the Ford Crown Vic and his upscale cousins had. Mercury Grand Marquis. I found a good installation guide on YouTube (go to youtube-dot-com-slash-watch-slash-Ivnt6Ifj06A) and followed most of their instructions. They recommend using a hole punch to remove the centers of the rivets and then a 3/8-inch drill bit to drill out the heads of the rivets. I recommend a 1/4" bit as that is the width of the rivet shank and will help you. in one go. Another time saver is to roll the window all the way down and push to the outside of the door. This will save you from having to slide the side window to the side and fully extend the window after replacing the regulator to get to the rails, it will take a little effort but will save a few steps and time. My car is 13 years old so I will probably come back for more. The same people who posted the link to the video also posted a separate guide for the front adjuster. Easy to install and high quality. I also recommend buying ESCs with the motor as you may find a rusty motor when you remove the old motor. Better to replace both and then not back The new motor is consistently strong and runs smooth all the way Older motors starts fast, slows down in the middle (about 2/3 of the way) and then quickly finishes the job. The new one goes fast through.In my humble opinion, saving money is not worth reusing an old motor. In addition, you get a Dorman warranty on both the motor and ESC.
