Well we opened it up to see how wide the stance / how narrow we can get by. Don't even step on the stairs. When we tried to close it the stair gates started to sag. We stopped, tried again, same thing. We then tried to keep the bars steady and slowly closed the steps and it almost ripped my finger off when the bars just exploded. So the thing never closed again, the rods were bent and totally unreliable, and I nearly lost my finger. I'm not even that strong, why does the steel bar bend when I try to close it? Because it's bullshit. We got this for a higher weight limit so we can lug heavy items with us but I don't trust any weight limit they say when just closing causes the legs to flex.
