Before disassembling parts of my car, I decided to plug it in at my stand using a 12V DC power adapter and an old monitor, just to be safe. Very glad I did. It's a simple setup, just two power cables, one black and one red, plus a yellow RCA video cable. Pretty easy and reliable. I used force and nothing. Double checked that everything is connected correctly and firmly. It was. Item was dead on arrival. I returned the product and they sent me a replacement. I hope I have better luck next time. I was a bit suspicious of the packaging. It looked like it had been previously opened. UPDATE - The replacement was also DOA. Pyle's customer service was a waste of time. Give it a wide birth and run a mile.
