Lack of quality control
To be honest the razors didn't fail. In fact, they cut like a straight razor should. But all the pieces of plexiglass stick to the clay. You can't roll clay because clay just sticks to everything. It won't stick to the tile or my metal roller, but if I accidentally grab that crappy roller, my hard work is over.
