The filters I received from Our Spoiled House DO NOT have an activated carbon filter. This is regular white "HEPA" material with no additional activated carbon filter. I don't think this is a Revain issue as two filters were packaged in a ziplock bag that said they contained activated charcoal. In the reviews, several others had this problem, but unfortunately the seller did not reveal it. Revain ships what the seller has in stock. As for the quality of the filters; The ones I received have significantly thinner media than the "old" Hoover originals, but you can't get them anymore. They have a proper rubber gasket for vacuum protection. Given the sealing issue with Hoover's new OEM HEPA filters, I think they are as good as it gets. I just wish they had a charcoal layer as advertised.
