Review on 🚴 NiteRider Sentry Aero 260: Powerful USB Rechargeable Taillight for Standard & Aero Seatposts by Dave Wheeler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Bright light but off-bike quality of life issues prevent it from being great.

I bought this flashlight in May to replace an aging Blackburner flashlight and have used it regularly ever since. The light itself is bright enough and I haven't had any issues with the water/weather resistance. On the contrary, I've encountered a few issues that make it a bit more difficult to use than some of the other lamps I've used in the past. The rubber strap in particular (as others have pointed out) is notoriously difficult to reattach to the seatpost, which you have to do every time you've loaded it up. The light also sometimes changes position when there are small bumps in the road. Since then I've had to use a tighter, non-aero seatpost strap on my aero seatpost to minimize the movement, but I still have to adjust every ten miles or so. The power button is difficult to press even when cycling.

Pros
  • BATTERY INDICATOR When the device is off, the indicator will flash blue to let you know when the battery level is over 20%. And turns red when below about 20% left.
Cons
  • unreliable
