Hell, get up!

I only use the alternate side/back option which is also the brightest and most economical. I'm glad the light reverts to the last setting when you turn it off. The battery lasts a long time, and it's really surprisingly super bright - even against the backdrop of Planet Bike's turbo light. Good job Nightrider.

Pros
  • INNOVATIVE DESIGN Form follows function and offers 260 degree visibility with a powerful light output of 260 lumens.
Cons

Bright light with multiple modes

Seems like every few years my tail light dies and I have to buy a new one! Recommended by a friend who bought a month ago. Its very bright! Easy attachment to the seat post. It has several different modes and two separate lighted areas. Not 100% sure how long it will last if it's not already off. I drove 77 miles last week but turned it off at rest stops. Nevertheless, we continued from 7:15 to 14:30!

Pros
  • FL1 STANDARD IP64 WATER AND DUST RESISTANT Nightrider taillights are designed to withstand a wide range of driving conditions.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Driving in the rain ruins everything.

Now I've ruined two of these lights by just taking a single ride in the rain. The first time I thought the little plug was fully inserted into the USB port but it was pointing down so I thought ok my fault I'll buy a new one and make sure it's fully closed and pointing up. nope A ride in the rain killed him again. The problem is that water gets into the lantern. Causes a short circuit which causes the light to turn on and stay on until fully discharged. I can't figure it out. Don't shake, don't

Pros
  • MULTIPLE LIGHT CHOICES 2 continuous light levels: LOW at 30 hours of use and HIGH at 4.5 hours. Plus 4 visible daylight flash modes FAST FLASH for 7 hours, CONTINUOUS FAST FLASH for 6.5 hours, VARIABLE FLASH for 7.5 hours, BURST FLASH for 6 hours.

Good light with some issues

I ride a class 3 e-bike a lot at night with an assist speed of up to 45 km/h. The light appears bright from the side and from behind. It also looks beautiful. The mounting strap broke when it was first attached to the bike. The people at Niterder were very easy to contact and sent replacements quickly. The on/off button is much more complicated than necessary and can be a real inconvenience, especially when wearing long-fingered cycling gloves. There are many other taillights. I'm sure they…

Pros
  • VISIBLE FLASH DAYTIME FOR IMPROVED DRIVER SAFETY with a long 7.5 hour run time with alternating flash patterns for those long drives. Driving with a bright rear light is just as important during the day as it is at night.
Cons
  • No instructions

Super Bright!: Lights & Reflectors

Great rear light for day and night! I only use it in the dark, but it's super bright! Many modes from flashing to solid are available and they will survive any headlight. The battery lasts long and charges quickly. I only use it for a few hours at a time and I'm barely scratching my life. I always have to charge my headlights after every ride, so I charge those too, but I could probably drive 15 times without a charge. It comes with two straps of different sizes that can be attached to the seat

Pros
  • LIMITED LIFETIME covering all defects in mechanical components (cases, covers, brackets and fasteners) and LEDs.
Cons
  • A few little things

Very bright, but the strap can break

Very reliable flashlight with good brightness and long battery life. Unfortunately, the strap can break. To charge you have to loosen the strap again and again. After a few months it may break when trying to install it. I can't find a way to order a new bracelet. They are not available on Revain or the NiteRider website. Another issue I've found with these flashlights is that after about a year they won't recharge. I went through some of them after they stopped loading. It seems like the USB…

  • INCLUDES 2 LOCKING STRAPS, one for standard seat posts and one for aero seat posts
Cons

clearly visible; Perfect Fit

(Originally I rated this product much lower as the on/off button didn't work. However, NiteRider replaced it quickly with no problems and now I love the light! Excellent customer service) Two things stand out on light: 1. It is ideal for aero seat tubes (ie with an aero profile). I use it on Cervelo and it fits very securely and never shifts to one side or the other.2. This light is not only very bright directly behind the cyclist, but also incredibly visible from all directions. In heavy…

Pros
  • QUICK/EASY TO INSTALL, no tools required. Attach the seatpost strap attachment to the seatpost and wrap a strong strap around it for a secure fit.
Cons
  • I don't remember

I bought this flashlight in May to replace an aging Blackburner flashlight and have used it regularly ever since. The light itself is bright enough and I haven't had any issues with the water/weather resistance. On the contrary, I've encountered a few issues that make it a bit more difficult to use than some of the other lamps I've used in the past. The rubber strap in particular (as others have pointed out) is notoriously difficult to reattach to the seatpost, which you have to do every time…

Pros
  • BATTERY INDICATOR When the device is off, the indicator will flash blue to let you know when the battery level is over 20%. And turns red when below about 20% left.
Cons
  • unreliable
