Review on πŸ›  Bosch TC300 Masonry Drill with Improved Shank for Enhanced Performance by Jeff Callier

So powerful it will dig into rock

This is an excellent drill bit. I used it with a hole punch to attach landscape lights to a large rock I have in my driveway. I'm not sure what kind of stone it is but I've been told it might be a blue stone so it's very hard. To attach these lights you need to drill 3 holes in the rock. For the first two lights I used 2 Tapcon drill bits and 2 cheaper Bosch carbide drill bits I had in my tool box. All 4 broke easily. I bought 3 Bosch TC100 bulbs as I needed to install 1 more bulb and was worried they would break too. Turns out I only needed 1. This bit went through the rock very easily (slow and steady) and I was even able to drill a few more holes to run a landscape cable around the formation. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • For use with Masonry Fastening Systems/Hex Socket Tools
Cons
  • Not Safe
