Review on πŸ‘£ Intensive Urea Cream with Salicylic Acid: Powerful Exfoliation & Moisturization for Dry Cracked Feet, Hands, Heels, Elbows, Knees - 4oz by Brittany Howard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does the job and works way better than a 20% solution!

I am recovering from foot surgery and a hard callus (corn callus to be exact) has started to form at the surgical site. The surgery was successful but the way the skin healed was where I was pressing on my food so a painful callus formed every time I stepped on it. Before this cream I used the 20% version and found that it didn't really help me. Calluses accumulated and became very painful. No more calluses after using this 42% version with salicylic acid! I apply it about twice a day and sometimes I wrap the area with medical tape just in case. At this point, the base of the cornea is still there, but the extra layers are barely forming, and the pain is almost non-existent. I hardly notice. When the stratum corneum has developed somewhat (after about a week), it is removed with a pumice stone. My only minor gripe is that it smells a bit like chemicals. It's not bad at all, in fact it's probably odorless, but my nose picks up a raw chemical smell, but it doesn't spoil the show. It would be nice if it had a lightly scented version to hide it, but at the same time I like that it doesn't have any added chemicals just for the sake of smell. I remember that the 20 percent version of the cream had a similar smell, so maybe there's nothing to be done about it. My podiatrist admitted he wanted to sell this 40% version of the cream but told me it was out of stock and drugstores didn't have it but Revain did. I don't think the big brands are making it right now, but it's good that Getsocio is doing it!
