The light is bright with multiple display modes (solid and multiple flashing models). To remove for charging, everything is removed with a durable elastic that wraps around the seatpost and has cutouts that slide over the tongue to hold it in place. I like this mount more than my previous one which had a plastic base attached to the post with a lag screw and the light was removable with plastic tabs. It lasted ok but this one is much easier to remove and reattach. It would also be just as easy to swap it out for a different bike. I've been running mine on a blink pattern for 4 hours for several days on just the charge it came with. The small instructions say that a full charge should take about twice as long, depending on the model. The steady light is only rated for 4.5 hours, but I find the flashing more visible anyway. The light even came in a cool plastic case, which my wife immediately requested for her arsenal of handy little reusable boxes.
