I bought it to use with a 200-600mm lens. I upgraded my tripod and decided to get a stabilizer. I mainly do landscape photography, but I was drawn to the smooth pan and up/down movements, plus the device looked like you could perfectly balance your settings on it. First, it's big and expensive. Well built and constructed. However, I have found that balancing my lens/camera requires turning friction knobs such as a ball head. Balancing was frustrating and I couldn't get the balance together with one smooth movement no matter how hard I tried. Maybe it's more for photography or wildlife videos, but I just couldn't find any benefit over a quality ball head at half the price. So I sent it back and replaced it with a solid ball head. It can be a great stabilizer, but for me it's not just for landscape photography.
