As a rider, I hate carrying devices on my bike. This. However, it's now an essential piece of gear, like my helmet. With a steady flash, it takes much longer than 3-4 hours of practice runs. It's bright enough to be seen during the day and the aluminum body looks like it could use some sweat. It wasn't a problem in light rain and 38f weather. I just charge it up after every ride and put it back on the bike. The only downside is that I wish there was a quick release clip mount so you don't have to constantly undo the elastic and saddle mount.
