Useful for resetting code
My check engine light was on. It happened before. I spent over a hundred dollars getting rid of it at an auto shop to pass the smoke test and renew my registration. It happened again recently. I still have time before I renew my registration. I tried this remedy. Issued code P0455. I suspected that my wife hadn't unscrewed the gas cap at the gas station. So I put the gas cap back on and used the tool to clear the code. It still works. The costs are much lower.
