All the RAM mounts I've used have met or exceeded my expectations and this product is no exception. This is a great idea and the magnets make it easy to place the detector in place and get started. The manual recommends using something other than just magnets to hold the detector in place, but the magnets are very strong and nothing else is needed. I drove 2,000 miles immediately after purchase, used the detector at high speeds every day and never doubted that the magnets would hold. The only thing to keep in mind when traveling with this mount is that it needs to be kept away from anything hard drive related due to the magnets. Aside from potentially causing major problems if you overlook it, this is another fantastic product from RAM Mounts.
