I bought this mainly to experiment with my Copic markers. There are several pros and cons, so I'll cover each one. Pros: The marker doesn't go through the paper at all! I mixed a lot on one sheet and was worried it might come through, but the other paper underneath stayed nice and clean. This was amazing as the paper is quite thin! I love how the colors look on paper and layering the same color really shows the obvious difference between lighter and darker patches of the same color. The marks lie flat on the paper. You don't have to worry about the texture of this paper ruining your markers. The other side is also smooth but with a different texture which I assume is to prevent it from flowing into other pages underneath. It is very easy for me to draw and erase pencil marks. I have a pretty light hand when drawing, so I'm not sure if the darker pencil lines come off cleanly, but the way I draw it comes out easily. Cons: So the highlight color spreads across the page fairly quickly causing this. Pen outside of my ink lines. You need to learn how to adjust the coloring method because placing the color too close to the edge of the ink line will cause a lot of color to bleed out of the drawing. This only happens on the first level. You have to work harder and pretty fast to get the colors to blend. It wasn't a complete nightmare to mix, but I wish it was easier. Mix results have been mixed. Check your liners before you start drawing! My Tombow Brush Pen is pretty much my favorite liner for other types of paper, but it didn't look like it on this one. The lines weren't nice and straight, and spread out across the page in an odd way. The same applies to my Zebra Brush Pens. The line drawing struck me as very strange. I don't have any Copic multiliners so I can't comment on how well they work here. My Sakura Pigma Mircon pen was the only one that worked the best and gave me no fun results. So far I enjoy working with this paper and I don't feel that the few issues it has make it bad. I've used my markers on other types of paper and would say this is one of the best notepads I've tried. I would recommend trying it out for yourself to see if it suits your preferences.
