Review on πŸ”Š Enhance Audio Quality with MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB INNER SLEEVES - MOFI MFSL (50 RECORD SLEEVES) by Jose Wititsuwannakul

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The quality of MoFi continues to decline.

As I watched the quality control of Mobile Fidelity's products steadily deteriorate over the past five years or so, it seemed like their archive covers were one of the few things they could still do well and solidly. . Well, now it seems that even these simplest items are no longer immune to their increasingly lax quality control standards. The last packs I bought have always been smaller in diameter. They are now empirically about 1/8 inch smaller than the MoFi cases that came out about a year and a half ago. I just compared and measured and the difference is undeniable. The problem with this seemingly indifferent austerity measure is pretty obvious, as many LPs no longer easily fit into the new MoFi cases. The new, trendy heavy vinyl releases don't fit in easily, and even some vintage releases are too wide to comfortably fit their new, narrow diameter. I'll start studying them. I think I can add these to the barrage of warped, off-center $100 records this manufacturer is putting out as products not worth the hype or the cost. Mobile Fidelity has had a reputation for a while and is really gaining momentum. Show. If you're a company that primarily makes vinyl records and you're stuck making record sleeves properly, it might be time to ask some tough questions about your standards.
