I don't even know if it's realistic to expect movement from rug on rug, but with this rug there is very little movement at all. Most importantly, there are absolutely no faults or waves to trip over and be dangerous. The rug it is on is in our carpeted bedroom next to our bed. There is no furniture on the rug so the only thing holding it in place is the rug. About every week I notice about an inch of carpet sticking out from under the carpet. The carpet underlay didn't move, but the carpet moved back a little. It's very easy to just put it back in place. We can attribute the movement of our bedroom rug to being on top of the rug or to the fact that there is no furniture on it. Whatever the reason, movements are minimal, there are no kinking or tripping hazards, and I'm very happy and satisfied.
