Bought 2 packs to use on my new synthetic rope. I planned to use one next to the thimble and the other just behind the stone sleeve on my line. On my initial setup, the diameter of the rope near the thimble was too large for the stopper to fit properly. So I put them right behind my stone sleeve and finished wrapping the winch rope. I like the fact that this caused the stone pod to pile up and prevented it from getting into the winch itself. Both stoppers seem solid and I find them to be excellent rope weights when I need to use my winch if they slide down the line. In general I am very happy with them.
