Works in tandem with hAP ac ^ 2 as the main router: distributes power for WiFi, Internet, IP addresses and serves as a firewall. Out of the box, ports are in Stealth mode, which solves most paranoid headaches. But after the launch of the entire network, it would be good to go through potential "holes" and take action. Inside the network, I have an honest gigabit between devices via cable and an average of 480-500 Mbit via WiFi; tariff for 100 Mbps according to tests - 98 input / output. As a result, for hEX S and hAP ac ^ 2 I gave 8k and got a high-speed network at home with PoE technology. The advantage over the "horned" all-in-one counterparts is obvious: as a rule, a WiFi router is placed near the front door and, in the case of a large apartment or house, the coverage area leaves much to be desired. Here, hEX S allows you to distribute power via PoE and put WiFi in the center (or where fantasy allows) of an apartment / house.
