As I said in one of my previous reviews, buying technology products based on Revain reviews can be quite frustrating. The NETGEAR EX6100 AC750 is a great example of this. Most of the complaints you find in 1 star reviews are based on a misunderstanding of how this type of product works. If you're using this device to extend your Wi-Fi coverage, expect a 50% drop in throughput when connected to it since that 50% is used to communicate with the router. If you need 100% speed, you have alternatives: 1. This device supports hotspot mode. Just move the slider from the extender to the hotspot, connect the LAN cable to this device, and then use the same SSID and password for WiFi.2. If you don't want to waste time laying the LAN cable, you can use one band (2.4 GHz) to communicate with the router and the other (5 GHz) to communicate with devices. This can be problematic as most devices only support 2.4GHz. and the 5GHz band signal connects you closer to the router.3. Finally, you can try other devices like TP-LINK AV500 with Powerline: -20&linkId=5LNJ5PAFCLAMLAIG In my case, this product was the best option because even with a 50% communication failure I still have 15 Mbps internet (instead of 30 Mbps /off the Internet). And when I have free time, I will connect it with a LAN cable. On the other hand, with the TP-LINK AV500, I would need to connect a WiFi router/buy a WiFi add-on at the endpoint (since it is Powerline + LAN). So if you're having WiFi coverage issues, this is probably the BEST solution for you. If you just need to connect one device with a LAN cable in a remote location in your house, powerline might work (it depends on how your power lines are set up, I've had very bad experiences with powerline technology). Whatever you do, don't do it. Purchase additional antennas for your router. I left two detailed reviews of the products I tried and their price ($20+) is way too high for what they offer. Such devices practically do not fail due to the low level of heat generation and the absence of mechanical parts. If they work for 90 days (recovery of warranty period). it is very likely that they will work for years without any problems. Leave it for this review.
