Review on Digital Turbine Flowmeter Kerosene Chemicals by Doug Virden

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Runs on petrol, buttons had to be pressed very hard until pressed multiple times.

I almost returned the meter because the knobs didn't work (for calibrating and setting units, screwdriver handle) until the knobs worked. After some use I can now use my finger. The device is mechanically very robust. It is connected (via a metal tube) to the outlet of a hand pump (so that the fuel is pressurized as it flows through the meter). At the other end of the flow meter is a large filter (metal pipe fitting) from which a hose then comes off. Once calibrated and vented from the system, the readings are very accurate. The device is always on (no switch). The battery lasts 3 months. I've never used it in the dark so I don't know if it has a backlight. The instructions have been translated from Chinese to English. Useless but funny and worth reading.

Pros
  • Various advantages of the digital turbine meter
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
