It was recommended to me and I found it worked very well. For me, the taste is mostly in the foreground, because if it tastes terrible, I don't take it. It tastes amazing and I would have no problem drinking it like a regular drink. Other protein drinks I've had have had a creamy milk flavor and I hated all of them except the chocolate flavor when mixed with milk or milk alternatives. This drink doesn't taste too creamy and I can just drink water and it tastes great. I've tried watermelon flavored candies before and they're delicious too. However, I prefer mango sorbet. In terms of actual recovery, I usually take it post-workout when I'm not eating or eating protein. I feel like it actually replenishes some of the energy I've lost so I don't feel sluggish post workout and recover faster than if I just went without protein. I really try to eat well and not just rely on alcohol because I think it's healthier. But do I feel like I get better with a drink than just a meal?
