I have a humidifier that I just can't live without during the winter months. My water is so hard that with a bit of luck I would have to change the filter about every 2 weeks. So I didn't want to spend a fortune on them. I have used famous brand filters and they are just as good. if not better. as a brand name. As a side note. I was adding cleaning vinegar to my humidifier when I noticed mineral buildup. No lingering odor as vinegar is a natural deodorant. This reduces build-up a bit and helps my filter last a little longer.
