I bought these to put behind my TV and was so excited because I could change the colors to suit the season or holiday. The first thing I noticed, which was extremely annoying, was that the battery compartment in the remote control didn't want to open without a fight and of course there was no battery left in the remote control. Luckily I had a lamp remote with the same remote control and it worked with these curtains. Unfortunately, after a few days, they just went crazy. The remote control no longer works. The button on the plug no longer works. Now they change from color to color patternlessly, and the flicker itself isn't among the set patterns the remote even offers. Don't buy them. Such a disappointment after only a few days, they were my favorite part of my Halloween setup.
