This is my first laptop lock. I've just never needed it before. But it was for work. Honestly, this thing only deters a sudden thief. Anyone with the time and good cable cutters can do it. This is only a deterrent, not a guarantee. Considering this seemingly negative intro, I have to say that this is a worthy product. I would buy another. It is durable and easy to use. I like the keyed version over the combo version, but that's just personal preference. Then the only (extremely minor) complaint I have is the included cable clip. It is designed so that you can roll up the cable and clip it together when not in use. Bought for continuous use. The cable clip is not removable and I find it difficult to hide the cable the way I want. On the other hand, all of this is perhaps a big indication that they are being watched. In any case, a worthy product.
