Review on 🐝 Crafting Beautiful Beeswax Candles: All-Inclusive Candle Making Kit by Nicole Mcleod

We finally got a chance to try out the candle set during a playdate with my son's school friend (both families practice social distancing and outdoor crafts at the picnic table). The kids are 6 (2) and 8 (1) and to be honest, besides explaining the rules, helping with color choices (so take turns and being honest), helping with cutting, they pretty much have it all others made alone . They loved all the designs available that came with instructions, they wanted to try them all! Each child made a candle and we have plenty of supplies for more. Overall, I think it's a great activity for kids to while away this "stay home, there's no way out because of the COVID pandemic" thing. We have bought so many arts and crafts kits and I can safely say this is one of our top 5. These are probably some of the things that struck us about the set - the wax smells great and is easy to shape. When needed, the instructions were clear and simple, the kids would look at photos of the finished product, and then look at the instructions for making it. What was odd was that some of the reviews said the kit included decorative items, but we only had beeswax with a wick. But in all honesty I prefer to keep it simple, otherwise I think it will be too complicated for our kids and I feel like the parents will end up doing all the work.
