I just stuck my feet in and knew right away this style is screwed up. Shoes appear to be pear-shaped on the inside. Wide at the back, but then narrowing towards the top, makes no sense. I buy globes because I know I have wide feet.2. The lining didn't seem to be there when I stood up in this shoe. I carry around a pair of toms, which are horrible trash bum shoes that nobody should buy thinking it's a big step forward. Is it somehow wrong? I bought these like many people for the nostalgia associated with them and the quality of the brand, they are not the sort of shoes I wore as a teenager. It may have something to do with the fact that I'm not a tiny 5ft 100lbs anymore, but I wasn't expecting the soles to feel like plywood on my feet. The only thing that still felt decadently comfortable about these shoes was the attached sock tongue that they started with. I am very disappointed and have no idea what shoes I will buy now. Oh important note, I received half the size. Anyway, I don't recommend it. I'm not sure how sole and insole production has changed in the last 20-30 years, but it won't feel like what you remember.
