Review on 🏍️ Sena SPH10H-FM-01 Black Motorcycle Bluetooth Stereo Headset & Intercom with FM Tuner (Half Helmets) by Derrick Feliciano

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for bike-to-bike communication or listening to your GPS

if you are a motorcyclist and want to chat with someone who rides b. on the back seat. or on another bike (or group of bikes), this is a good option. It's also useful if you need to listen to your GPS or answer a phone call while driving. However, the quality of the music is terrible. PROS: * The battery life lasts for at least 5 hours of continuous use - maybe a little more. * Fairly easy to put on and remove from your helmet. * Pairing your phone and pairing with other headsets is quick * You can hear others pretty clearly - even on the freeway CONS: * They don't work well with "new" helmets (not DOT certified). You can force most models, but they will be clunky at best. * Music quality is terrible. *You're trying to do too much - there are so many different patterns to remember to try turning on the FM radio, switching to Bluetooth, sharing music, answering calls, etc. You'll probably mostly use them for Syncing with other using devices and for Bluetooth listening (the other features look fancy but there are just too many to remember, especially when driving). * "Intercom" mode captures all wind noise - so you can constantly hear the crackling of the other person's microphone. The only other option is to turn the intercom on or off manually, which is not very convenient in most cases. However, I don't know if there is a better option for this. There's so much noise when you're riding a bike with half a helmet on that I don't think the noise-detection technology can turn it off. * If you want to use this to communicate with someone else, they also need a headset. They appear to be pairing with other devices, so they may not need to use that particular headset. *Many features seem to depend on a firmware update (easy to do but probably not for the novice). And some features are turned on or off via your computer (so if you're on the go and don't have your laptop with you, you're out of luck until you get home).

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • easy maintainability
