I only wear Brooks tennis shoes and that doesn't stop me from buying more. But I buy them because I have very high arches and also suffer from follicular hypertension which Brooks running shoes help me with. For these reasons, there are some Brooks styles that I can wear for arch support, such as: B. Bedlam. I have several pairs of Bedlam 1 series shoes because they fit really well and the energize outsole is what gives me extra mileage. When the Bedlam 3s went on sale I bought a pair. When I tried to put them on I knew they were different but still thought I would give them at least a full day to put them on and see them. NO. First, the "soft" fabric is reinforced with some kind of coating that basically makes it look soft, but it's actually hard plastic. The first part of this "plastic weave" is just above the heel, so it rubs against the heel all day. The second closes the sock. I understand "why" this cover is made. In theory, it should reinforce areas that are known to wear out faster. except that part of the sock is so tight that it actually pushed my toe down so much that I felt like I had ingrown toenails again. Yes, I have personally tried on Brooks shoes and again have 6 current pairs of Brooks. This is the ONLY shoe that causes pain and it's just a recent model of shoe that I already have (several of) and love - so no, it's not a 'fit' issue. I have to send them back as I can't wear them without pain. And that saddens me because now I'm going to have even fewer Brooks styles unless they fix this problem with a future Bedlam style.
