We wanted to replace one of our old towel bars because we now have another person using the bathroom for showering and bathing on their own, so we needed more hangers to help our towels dry better so they don't smell like mildew and this is what I chose for that.It was really easy to install especially since I already had two anchors in place from the original holder and the max length for this was only slightly longer than our old one, so I simply shortened the length a bit and screwed it right into the old anchors using the screws that came with this and it's going nowhere!Also, it sticks out exactly as far as the door does sitting open at its farthest point, so you shouldn't walk into the bars unless you're really not paying attention as you're walking in your bathroom!I think my only complaint is that with our thick towels, there isn't much space between each towel on the rack, however, you can just dry the towels on the provided hooks (either the ones you hang on the bar or those on the wall hanger) to dry off before returning them to the bar for your next shower or bath and you'll have a towel that shouldn't smell like mildew and be completely dry!
