All plastic but durable plastic - may or may not suit you

Fits Toyota Camry 2008 very hot and dry in summer (120F 0% heat type humidity). Usage: 1 day. If I don't write a review now, I'll forget. Impression: I'm surprised that everything is made of plastic. It can be metal on the inside, but not on the outside. The plastic is strong. For me personally only silicone counts. Also, where I live, I don't have to worry about icing and freezing of wipers. Installation: It would be nice to have a YouTube video or something, but it's still easy to install. You just have to find out a little bit first. Value for money: $15 for a couple is good value. What I didn't realize was that the case was plastic (albeit durable). Because of the sun here, I don't know if the plastic will melt or crack, and if it does, it's $15 a year or $15 in the summer. Silicone is really the most important thing, but even the really good expensive ones don't last 2 years in the desert sun and dry heat here - so I'm happy to buy any cheap wipers as long as they last a year. . So far the silicone rubs off very well and makes no sound. This can change depending on the season. Would I Buy Again: What I didn't know was that Walmart sells Goodyear full metal wipers for about $7 each (i.e. $14 + tax per pair). That makes it cheaper than this pair. I'm not looking for anything that lasts 2-5 years. I only look for thrifty wipers as it rains occasionally and is sweltering dry and the silicone cracks fairly quickly. So if this one holds up really well, I'll definitely buy it again. If it doesn't last even a year, next time I'll go with the cheap ones from Walmart.
