I'm a landscape photographer, I bought it to carry in my bag and travel long distances, used with a 190GO 4-sided tripod. Definitely the best I've ever had. 360 degree panning is great, as is a full 90 degrees for portrait mode or creating vertical panoramas. The ball head is very smooth. It's not the lightest head but not too heavy for hiking and delivers quality. I chose aluminum sticks because the same carbon fiber sticks cost twice as much and weighed only slightly less.
