Great knife set. I use some of them every day, others every now and then. I haven't quite mastered the "paring knife" yet and would have wished for a small paring knife, but I can live with that. I will never buy a pair of kitchen knives again. Scissors that cannot be pulled apart for cleaning! You are excellent! I like that it's really three blocks in one! They hold together well with a magnet, but you can remove the end block with one hand. I rarely use steak knives, so I moved this part of the block to free up countertop space. The knives are beautiful, sharp-edged and really last. I think the handles look very cool and they are not uncomfortable for everyday use. If I were a chef or cooking for large groups of people they might bother me but they don't and I love it! I am sure that with proper care these knives will last a lifetime.
