I bought it for professional tile work because it was aluminum and stainless steel. In general, the build quality and markings are exemplary. However, this is a hand tool and the manufacturer is neglecting your hands. The solid billet aluminum that makes up the body stays as sharp as a mill, as do the edges of the stainless steel bar. I'm not a prude, but that thing was sharp enough to almost cut you. Not quite, but almost. I took out the blade and with the help of two files and sandpaper I softened and rounded all the rough edges on both the blade and the handle. Took two minutes and now I have a hand tool that I want to work with and I'm looking forward to using it on my next job. I would buy it again for the price but I would be happier if it was softer and more polished to begin with. Swanson, pay the assemblers an extra dollar and build a first class instrument! I would gladly pay more for a finished one. (Photo after file editing)
