This square is slightly thinner and slightly longer than the regular square. Although it looks chunky, I find it to be as ergonomic as any square and the weight is almost identical. This is a great square combination. It was square, judging by the square of the engineer I tested it with. It's lightweight and the stop slides very smoothly into the ruler's channel. The knob in the lock knob, or whatever it's called, you know, the orange thing, works fine, turns easily, smooth. No burrs or roughness in the ruler channel or in the screw device.
