Quality versus price acceptable compromise. In this price range it is enough if everything is in order. Buy this. Using hours of reading and an 8x loupe on higher quality paper - just below photo quality - I concluded that the print quality was limited by imperfections in the paper's surface. That is, under magnification you can see that the paper isn't perfectly flat, so two different figure eights were slightly different when magnified because they were printed on uneven paper. I overclocked the printer to 1200 x 1200 dpi and took some photos. The first attempt was dismal, but I used it as a guide, tweaked the settings in GIMP, and got very acceptable results. It doesn't have to be a photo printer. The bottom line is that output limits have nothing to do with the toner cartridge. The quality of the cartridge exceeds the capabilities of the printer and the paper. And at this price? Are you kidding me? Quality produced by the factory can vary over time, but this order was a monster winner.
