Review on ACDelco 15 63717 Professional Heater Core by Adam Madden

Made in China, branded only as AC Delco (which has stricter quality control than other suppliers). I've read reviews that all other heaters are flimsy and don't seat properly in the heater housing. I figured I wouldn't have this problem if I bought an OEM like AC Delco. Not correct! as thin as Spectra and other brands, at least 1/8" to 1/4" thinner than the standard core. I'm still happier that I have the ACD part and not the Spectra part ANY DAY, but overall I paid twice as much for the same part. I actually found a better deal through Revain to buy this part as it was double the price of Revain at dealerships and other sites. The shipping box was fantastic; I have never seen such a well packaged radiator. Spectra puts them in a thin-walled box, facing up, with a piece of cardboard folded over to prevent it from being crushed from above. This part of the ACD lay on its side in a thick box with 2 inch corrugated sheets to hold it in place and an extra cardboard frame around the part; then she was placed in another shipping container with air bags around her. ARRIVED PERFECTLY!
