Kayak fishing

I went camping with a tourist kayak for the first time this year. I bought them wondering if they would work practically with my rods and surprisingly they worked very well. I (deliberately) tested them in the lake several times to see if they would float if I ever got into trouble and capsized. My biggest fear was kayaking, and all of my gear (that I had acquired over the years) ended up at the bottom of the lake. This cheap little float kept my rods from submerging even when I did. They don't interfere with casting or rolling up like I was wondering and depending on where you put them they tend to slip. not much - but it's a small sacrifice to make sure your gear is on the surface when you go drinking.
