Review on 🚰 Enhanced Capacity and Performance with iSpring RCC7P Filtration System by Tim Larsen

I bought this system after looking at several others. The only thing I learned is that pumping systems work better, are more efficient and extend the life of the reverse osmosis membrane. I liked that it had a pump. I didn't think I would have pressure issues with tap water, but fridge ice makers need some pressure to work and they vary, so I didn't take the risk as I have a line to the fridge. /the machine that makes ice cream. This system has a threaded water supply adapter that screws onto the faucet shut-off valve. I had to improvise as my plumbing pipes are copper with soldered fittings, not threaded. I ended up using the fridge's water supply line, which had a saddle clamp, to the cold water flush line from the basement below (picture attached). This is where I connected the cold water supply line for the iSpring system (red hose). I built and painted some boards to hold the tank and unit. As you have been told, it is very important to support the bottom of the 3 filter cartridges. The only thing you need to keep in mind when designing is that the support underneath the filter cartridges needs to be removed in order to unscrew the filter cartridges to change the filter. I screwed a board to the underside of the 2 x 4 coming down from the rafters to hold the filter cartridges together, placed the fully assembled unit on the board and marked where the screws would be on the rear mounting plate. I also used thick rubber insulation to soften the bottoms of the cartridges. Don't overlook the tank mount either, as 1 gallon of water weighs 8 1/3 pounds, so a full tank can weigh around 30 pounds. It took some time to set up the system but I would say installing the faucet took the longest. It took me about half an hour to pierce my porcelain coated cast iron sink. You will need a 1/2" diamond drill bit. Start at a very low speed and use plenty of water to cool the drill and flush out debris that looks like black mud and smells bad. To prevent the drill from hitting the sink scratched. , use masking tape on surrounding surfaces. While installing the faucet, I found that the mounting thread collar was missing. I contacted iSpring customer service and Richard shipped it to me immediately. In the meantime, I purchased a 1/4" Shut off pipe so I could turn on the system and run water through the fridge I put a tee on the outlet of the system to run water through the sink faucet and fridge Family and I love the taste of water The ice cubes are much clearer, I posted before and after photos, you can see the ice is clearer, feel better, my pets these s to give water. I didn't have time to test the quality of the water before and after, but I will soon. I also feel better not buying all the bottled water and contributing to the plastic pollution problem. I would say that the quality of this system is very good. The fittings they supply are better leak proof and equipped with locking clips.
