that has a firm foam core with a durable plastic (probably something much more durable than plastic, just NOT SURE exactly what the material is called) but it is not one of those cheap molded wood ones that expand and contort, once the plastic coating gets chipped and water starts to enter the MDF {medium density fiberboard material} that its made from. Those style seats used to crack very easily as well due to a little rough handling (lid banging down on the seat, etc,) and made them unusable sometimes in a matter of months; talk about planned obsolescence!At any rate, put it in my tenants' apartments and they seem to hold up pretty well indeed! No complaints from me (and I'm the guy that has to get down on the floor with bad knees to replace them) and thus far, I am a happy customer. Highly Recommended by someone who does a lot of maintenance!I certainly hope this review was HELPFUL?
