Does an excellent job of holding your bike.
Have a 38lb ebike and it easily holds it. Mounted it to a wall stud using three 2-1/2 inch decking screws (angle the two top ones inward as the holes will be barely inside each edge of the stud and this will assure full engagement of the threads).
