Review on Solid Wood Ferment It Sauerkraut Pounder - Optimal Vegetable Fermentation Tool by Rob Bishop

ferment it! the best in home brewing and winemaking

I LOVE this herb masher! After researching mallets and reading reviews, I was dismayed by the number of reviews mentioning wood glue. Not what I want in my ferment. So I googled whole crouton poult and found this one which was way cheaper than wood glue. I knew I wanted to oil it up but I couldn't wait to use it. So I did. The picture above shows two half-gallon mason jars, one with naked cabbage, the other with curtido (it smells delicious when you burp it, by the way). I would like to say that at that time I was responsible for cleaning and greasing. nope! I cleaned it up and left it on my counter. A few days later I took the oil and noticed a small crack on the big end of the thresher I was using to mash the cabbage. I put it in a bag, poured some oil in it and sealed the bag. It sucked out all the oil and crack. I love this thing and I really hope it's just a normal guy or girl making these in his wood workshop. ferment it!
