I have just installed a Navien 240A with Navilink to make the best use of gas and water as advertised in the Navien literature. However, the application and control are designed for self-sabotage. With the Navilink app you can program the on and off times of the circulation pump for each day of the week which I programmed to run in the morning. However, if you want to take an occasional afternoon or evening shower, you can't activate the circulation pump from the app (or from the tank itself), leaving you to watch gallons of water go to waste before your shower becomes active. hot. You can activate the circulation pump manually by installing an optional "hot button" device (which I'm told can also be activated via the app). But the hot button cancels the pump schedule programmed by Navilink and no longer works according to the schedule. For real?! Are the people making these products stupid, evil, or both?! I give it two stars because it works, but it doesn't do everything that's advertised. The Navilink app needs to be updated to allow smooth manual control of the circulation pump. Update a month later: After weeks of trying to figure out why the circulating pump schedule wasn't activated, it was on 24 hours even though it was programmed to run. Turn on at 7am and turn off at 11am daily - I finally figured out that the schedule control button in the app is actually reversed: if you click 'enable', scheduling will be disabled, if you click 'disable' " click, the schedule will be activated. Whoever developed the app simply forgot to add the letter "d" at the end of the instructions. The button should say "Enabled/Disabled". I can't believe bugs like this are going away! MORE UPDATE: I just discovered that you can disable the weekly scheduler if you want to turn the circulation pump on manually - press ENABLE (which disables the timer) and the circulation pump will turn on. on. To turn the pump off again, press DISABLE (which turns the timer on). It sounds and is confusing (because of the poor and misleading controls) but in the end I can get the Navilink app to do most of what I need. It only took me a month to find out!
