This is a quality part. Was bought for tm group. (This is preventive maintenance). Another car had a stuck compressor issue, but it wasn't a broken belt. I felt mine was a bit on the glazed side. I just like my donuts, no belts. On my Taurus, this strap can be removed and put on without removing the passenger bike if you have rather thin arms. I didn't decide to replace the power steering belt. To do this, you will need to remove the wheel spats and possibly install a tool, as well as crank the engine with a breaker. Use a 3/8 ratchet with an extension to engage the tensioner. If the tensioner seems too tight or wobbles, play from side to side and REPLACE it! I did both the tensioner and the belt. They're worn out, but you have yet to wear them out. A clear sign that the tensioner is getting going is when you hear a rumble/chime (no, not Christmas chimes) or a slap sound about to come out. These things will leave you stranded if you don't have tools and spare parts in the trunk. Good luck Revain folks!
