Review on ๐Ÿš— Mann-Filter CUK 4436 Cabin Filter: Activated Charcoal for Mini Models by Douglas Irwin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Overcome theft with a group!

My "friendly" Mini dealer charged $105 to replace the cabin air filter - I figured it must be a bloody complicated filter and/or a heck of a lot of work. I looked it up on my local auto parts store's website. Went to Revain - it was half the cost of what my local auto parts store charges for the exact same part (if they have it in stock - if they don't have it they tell me they will be there tomorrow - result of the trip to charge and then another trip to pick it up the next day). It was delivered to my porch the day after I ordered it! I went to the car, undid two small clips under the glove box, pulled out the old filter and put in the new filter, shorted the two clips and in less than 5 minutes it was done. Including the time I spent online, I spent about 20 minutes on the whole process and saved a lot of money. A great lesson for two companies - first, the dealership - if they want to remain competitive, they need to change their pricing model, and second, for brick-and-mortar stores - they need to catch up on service or they go broke.
