When my 9 year old Dyson DC25 Animal started making horrible rolling noises I found the post filter was being pushed out. This happened after I cleaned/dried the post filter. I assume that it is relatively common for a post-filter to fail when the filter is no longer good enough. I needed a new post filter and decided it was time for me to use a pre motor filter so it made sense. put on order. I am very impressed with the almost OEM nature of these filters. At first glance they appear to be identical. Both fit perfectly and have made my vacuum cleaner fully functional again. Unfortunately, when the post-filter failed, I was in the process of cleaning up. To continue I had to remove the post filter door every few minutes which eventually broke the door. Luckily I found a replacement Dyson 915447-06, Purple Post Filter Door Assembly at Revain for less than $20. The combo of replaceable filters and replaceable door made my old vacuum as good as new! Thank you Dyson for a high quality and easy to maintain product!
